It is with great sadness that we report the tragic demise of actor Kollam Sudhi, who passed away in a road accident at Thrissur’s Kaipamangalam on Monday morning. He was 45 years old.

According to the police, the accident occurred around 7 am when Sudhi was returning from a shooting location in Ernakulam. His car collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction on National Highway 66. The impact of the collision was so severe that Sudhi’s car was completely crushed and he died on the spot. The truck driver escaped unhurt and fled the scene.

Sudhi was a popular actor in Malayalam cinema and television, known for his versatile roles and natural acting. He made his debut in 2002 with the film ‘Nammal’, directed by Kamal. He went on to act in more than 50 films, including ‘Classmates’, ‘Thirakkatha’, ‘Kerala Cafe’, ‘Traffic’, ’22 Female Kottayam’, ‘Drishyam’, ‘Ennu Ninte Moideen’, ‘Oppam’, and ‘Take Off’. He also appeared in several TV serials, such as ‘Sthreejanmam’, ‘Kadamattathu Kathanar’, ‘Makalude Amma’, and ‘Kudumbavilakku’.

Sudhi was known for his humble and friendly personality and his dedication to his craft. He was always ready to take up challenging roles and experiment with different genres. He won several awards and accolades for his performances, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Character Actor in 2016 for his role in ‘Drishyam’. He was also nominated for the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2017 for his role in ‘Take Off’.

Sudhi is survived by his wife Sreeja and two children, Sreeram and Sreelakshmi. His mortal remains were taken to his native place Kollam, where his last rites were performed with full state honors. His family, friends, colleagues, and fans are mourning his untimely loss and paying their tributes to him. Sudhi’s death is a huge blow to the Malayalam film industry, which has lost one of its finest talents. He will be remembered for his memorable roles and his contribution to cinema.
